Colored Pencil Tutorial – Basic Tools

For this week’s Tutorial of the Week, it’s time for a return to the basics.

Artist Angela Sasser offers up a thorough video tutorial introducing the tools most used by Illustrators who work with colored pencils.  If you’ve ever wanted learn more about this medium, this is a great place to start.

In a world full of tutorials on how to draw a vector cartoon duck, it’s always refreshing to come across a down-to-earth, hands-on video like this one that helps to preserve and pass on a traditional medium.

    Awesome! Glad to see this up. I hope that it will help out others curious about this wonderful medium. Now I’ll really have to step up to doing more videos!

    Thanks Angela the pencil extender is a great idea as are the sticks!
